What was your work background before enrolling in DMI?

Before enrolling in DMI, the only work background that I had was helping out my parents manage their business and going through an internship program in Nissan Palo – Tacloban as a marketing intern, where my first developed marketing campaign was implemented by the company. Back then, I just graduated from college with a BS in Business Administration (Marketing Management) Degree in Saint Paul School of Professional Studies.

What influenced your decision to study and get certified in digital marketing?

As a marketing undergrad, my goal was to prepare for what career I wanted to pursue. Since I really wanted to pursue a career in marketing, I read a lot of marketing articles. One article I read was on digital marketing, which made me very excited. I got the chance to be enrolled in DMI with the support of my parents. I believed that studying and getting certified in digital marketing can give me more knowledge about the industry that will mold me into a competent digital marketing professional.

Why did you choose to study with DMI?

I found DMI in the Google SERP and heard great reviews about the benefits of the institution like providing a CPD program, a lovely community, an updated and globalized syllabus, and the opportunity to learn from well-known, tenured, and expert lecturers in the industry. And lastly, the first thing that struck me was the implementation of what they’re teaching, which is proven by being the #1 ranked website in the Google SERP.

How has it helped you in your business or work?

It helps me a lot because it equipped me with the knowledge that I needed in promoting my parents’ and clients’ businesses using marketing tools and understanding the logic behind each digital channel, which helps me a lot during optimizations.

Since completing the program, how has your career progressed?

My career has progressed outstandingly after I took up the program and pass the certification exam. It gave me the opportunity to be recruited by great companies and perform well in my current work as an Inbound Marketing Specialist at StraightArrow.

What’s your advice for new students?

I would advise listening carefully and confidently asking questions if there’s any misunderstanding or confusion during each session to have clarity on the topic. I would also suggest participating in all practicum exercises or practicing on your own. In this way, you could apply the lessons you learn, have a greater understanding and explore more about the marketing tools or digital channels. Focus on the lessons first before thinking about the certification. “The Title can’t help you to be competent but Knowledge can give you Skills that can lead you to a Title”.

How would you describe your learning experience with DMI?

I love to say that it was fun, meaningful, educational, memorable, and the best learning experience I had. Thank you DMI!
