What was your work background before enrolling in DMI?
I’ve been the marketer of on-ground activities for the entertainment division of a renowned chain of shopping malls, and for the North America and Oceania region of a real estate giant. Both enabled me to be adaptive, wearing many hats in working with experienced industry professionals.
As the marketing industry geared towards digital, I’ve been the marketing strategist of a UK based company focused on travel and tourism, wherein I strengthened its digital content and social media presence.
Currently, I’m the Marketing Manager of a tech company, applying my experience in traditional marketing for on-ground activities and in digital marketing such as website strategy, platform development, and search marketing.
What influenced your decision to study and get certified in digital marketing?
The trend nowadays is for companies to establish their digital arm, moving faster than ever to cement their digital footprint. It was clear and evident to me the importance of investing more on the digital initiatives of our company.
Having the right knowledge in digital marketing would help me better in streamlining how I build my team, how I create the company’s marketing framework, processes, and business rule, and how I choose the right tools in developing a holistic marketing
strategy.
Why did you choose to study with DMI?
DMI stood out as the most comprehensive in developing the best solutions to my goals.
Aside from the complete digital marketing programs and great learning framework, DMI is recognized internationally. As part of the program, the resources were up to date, and based on the best practices. The activities were face-to-face wherein I could network with my colleagues. Both of which I found to be invaluable.
How has it helped you in your business or work?
It helped me view digital marketing holistically and expand organically. The knowledge gave me a strong foundation that I used to empower not only the marketing but also become involved in product, tech, UX design, and other divisions of the company in developing our digital initiatives.
Most importantly, the marketing team’s success opened new digital channels for the company to achieve growing its portfolio.
Since completing the program, how has your career progressed?
I’ve become more involved in different digital transformation projects, banking on my work experience but now with the knowledge I’ve acquired through DMI’s program, which I believe would continue to influence me in navigating through the industry.

Learn, practice, and always be competitive.
