Do I really need to take the exam?

Certification Course Exam

For the certification courses, you need to take and pass the exam through Pearson Vue if you want to earn the professional certification. For the Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) program, you also earn a professional diploma and are able to use the CDMP title after your name. But if you just want to take the training and are not after the international certification, you can choose not to take the exam. Take note that the course fee already includes a free exam voucher, so you might as well take it.

Post-Graduate Requirements

For the post-graduate DMI Expert program, you are required to complete two digital marketing assignments in Digital Marketing Research and Digital Marketing Strategy. As part of your Digital Marketing Research paper, you will undertake real-world research (e.g in the form of surveys, focus groups and/or interviews).

Short Course Exam

For the short courses, you also have to take the online exam at the end of the course (not through Pearson Vue). You also earn an associate-level certification, a notch lower than the professional certification of the CDMP and specialist programs.
