How is the CDMP course different from other digital marketing courses?

The Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) program, or DMI PRO, of the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) is a cut above the rest. Compared to other digital marketing courses in the Philippines, no one comes even close to the CDMP program.

Key Differences

  • International recognition. The CDMP title is an internationally-recognized professional certification. Other programs are recognized only locally.
  • Professional certification. Many courses, including those from Google and Meta, are just certificates, not certifications. You just take an online, non-proctored exam. On the other hand, DMI offers real industry-recognized certifications. You have to take and pass a proctored exam for the CDMP program via Pearson VUE. This is where other certification exams for other professions are taken.
  • Academic credential. The CDMP program is also an academic credential, equivalent to a professional diploma (just below a bachelor’s degree). It is mapped against the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), meaning it is recognized by universities and employers in Europe. Other courses do not have this recognition.
  • Industry validation. Only the CDMP syllabus is reviewed and validated by the global marketing and e-learning leaders of Meta, Google, Microsoft, IBM, HubSpot, and more. That means the curriculum provides relevant and practical skills that the industry requires. No other local or international program can claim that.
  • Industry adoption. Only the CDMP program is recognized and adopted by the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). No one else has that privilege.
  • Industry partnerships. Meta, Google, HubSpot, and the IAB have partnered with DMI for continuing education, allowing DMI graduates to earn CPD credits by taking their courses. These industry giants do not recognize other programs.
  • Professional prestige. Employers recognize and value a DMI certification. They won’t be impressed if you just took a free or cheap course on YouTube, Udemy, etc.

Other Differences

  • Blended learning. The CDMP course, as we deliver it here in the Philippines, combines synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) training. The 15 live sessions offer a richer social learning environment with interactions, bonus content, Q&A, and group presentations.
  • Continuing education. Your learning does not end when the course is over. You get six months access to DMI’s membership platform, which is packed with hundreds of videos, articles, e-books, webinars, presentations, podcasts, templates, and tools that you can use for your work.
  • Career path. Only DMI offers foundational, specialist, and post-graduate courses in digital marketing.
  • Global network. You have access to DMI’s global network of over 200,000 members to share best practices and career opportunities.
